That's good. There's a small personal torch at HD. That would be ideal. Otherwise a propane torch on low heat. Use the pretinned solder at HD and solder. Clean it first with steel wool or # 320 paper. If you have a high power soldering gun it would be great. You don't want it to get too hot and crack further. The pretinned will help get it done faster.

I would suggest a soldering iron. Look to see if you can find one about 100 watts. Hopefully you won't end up damaging the seal between the brass tube and the aluminum bowl in the process.

That tube is very thin. It should heat up quickly. Remember the solder follows the heat. I'd start at the bottom and work my way up.

Well got the hand held torch from HD.
Think both bowls are fix. Will leave over night so far no leak.
