kz1000st air box was created by gtrain
Hi there, I just brought a Z 1000st witch is missing a lot of parts like the air box,
will a air box from a kz 1000 mark 2 fit or what other models would fit?

Also what is the idea with the front axle mounted on the front of the fork
legs and a smaller offset on the triple tree, where the mark 2 has the axle on the bottom
of the leg and a larger of set on the tree what different dose is make to handling?

What would be the largest rear tire I can use without hitting the drive tube?

The ST air box has 3 sections and is not interchangeable.

If you can't locate a complete airbox anywhere, finding the missing parts is probably going to be a chore. The air filter itself might be hard to find --- Z1Enterprises.com lists a K&N filter, but it's temporarily out of stock w/ no firm delivery date.

You might be able to round up the parts to build an airbox piecemeal on eebbaayy, getting the stuff as it happens to be listed, but that could take a while & get expensive. If something is listed, ask the seller if he has any of the other stuff. I did not check for every part, but right now there are a couple of KZ1000E airbox bodies & a nice silencer & some pricy nos carb duct holder plates. I did not see a cap or the connector duct for the silencer.

List this in the parts wanted section and maybe Brian will help you. He found me a complete air box for my ST as well as a lot of other parts for the bike.

Hi there, yes I'am interested in the condition and price of that air box,
Would you send too Australia? (postage is a killer),
also I'am chasing a good complete KZ 1000 instrument cluster to convert
on to my ST? thanks.

I used a KZ 900 air box on my Z1 because the Z1 box wouldn't fit my 33's. I had to open the holes for larger boots I made up. You might look into maybe a KZP or KZ 1000 air box locally for fitment. The axle placement is for longer travel forks. That's a good thing.
