Dam ,I only got them because Z1 is a sponsor here and have heard nothing but good things about there products. I usually order all OEM parts from kawasaki . I hope I dont wake up to a gas puddle on the floor of the garage . Been out there checking every few hours .Bike runs good though . Fingers crossed.

If it goes through the hot/cold cycles enough, they should shrink. Use grease next time you have them off.

With some carbs like my Keihin CV34s and I think the CV32s used in the kz400 the bowl gasket is more a large O ring that fits in a groove in the bowl than a traditional gasket. These O rings swell up after contact with gas and when you take the bowl off they pop out of the groove. I've tried different brands including Kawasaki brand and they all swell - probably due to the ethanol.

Like undiablo said let em dry out and they'll shrink down or if you're in a hurry put them in a small ziplock bag and stick them in the freezer for a half hour. When you take them out of the freezer work fast before they thaw and swell.

I kinda doubt the traditional flat gasket matrerial type gaskets used in other carbs swell the same way or as badly as the O ring type.

Not with new ones except on one side. you want them to stick to the carb side.
