Bowl gaskets
01 Jun 2015 10:54 - 01 Jun 2015 10:54
Somebody pleeeease tell me why my carb bowl gaskets fit into the notches very easily but then after a couple hours of riding,
went to go through the carbs again to make sure everything was good, the gaskets were super stretched out and wouldnt fit back in ????

I never buy gaskets for the bowls. I use grease to make them seal. Just make them tacky. Last week when I went through the 550 carbs, (O rings) I smeared a little grease on them and they sealed even though they were hard and chipping.

Re: Bowl gaskets
01 Jun 2015 18:10Same here K/L is junk. With as much trouble associated with their parts I fail to see how they have become so large?? Or why Z1 continues to sell that junk. 1 of the reasons I no longer buy gaskets or carb stuff from Z1. I get my gaskets from an ebay seller, have been very satisfied, with material and workmanship. :ohmy:spdygon wrote: K/L not good.... Had same problem.
