went to go through the carbs again to make sure everything was good, the gaskets were super stretched out and wouldnt fit back in ????

Yep! Those gaskets are K&L im pretty sure. hmmundiablo wrote: Material is not good enough... ethanol perhaps? happened to me with K&L orings and gaskets.

700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

Same here K/L is junk. With as much trouble associated with their parts I fail to see how they have become so large?? Or why Z1 continues to sell that junk. 1 of the reasons I no longer buy gaskets or carb stuff from Z1. I get my gaskets from an ebay seller, have been very satisfied, with material and workmanship. :ohmy: :ohmy:spdygon wrote: K/L not good.... Had same problem.
