The only effect I could see on jetting is the heated air. Might make it run rich.

Again, these are the same blow-by gasses entering the engine that were there when your bike came out of the box.

Yes, and they're jetted to the locations at which they are sold.

The crankcase is sealed except for the vent (not like a car PCV system), so any slight vacuum applied won't increase the ventilation. It reduces the pressure inside the crankcase, but the flow is determined by how much blowby you have. The only way to reduce oil contamination would be to allow for an air intake into the crankcase as well as sucking it out through the vent.

If you put some paper into a jug, and connect a vacuum cleaner hose to the jug, the vacuum can't suck the paper out because there is no air flow (as long as everything is sealed). If you cut another hole, so air can get into the jug, then the paper can get sucked out.

I suppose if the crankcase leaked air, you could get some fresh air flow, but without that, all you are getting for flow is blowby... the very thing contaminating the oil.

In my experience, only bikes with some ring issues had any significant smoke coming out of the vent hose. After it's warm, the water vapor/blowby is usually invisible.

I know that it is standard from the factory but it is emissions related. Given the choice why would you put dirty air and oil (unfiltered) back into your engine?

Hmm I just have a cheap eBay breather on mine, but with his set up wouldn't that help lubricate the slides in the carb? I though I read somewhere some Hondas had a system like that for lubricating the slides? I could be typing complete foolishness here but it seems legit.

Think about it. My bike won't run for SHT in the high elevations. That's not where it was set up.

Have any documentation stating they were jetted differently?

Nope, do you? I'll ask my neighbor. He was a dealer in the 70's and 80's.

All parts fiche info only showed one single jetting for the entire U.S. If there was any re-jetting done, it was probably by the dealer.
