aftermarket card? was created by Polareagle85
Hey guys I'm new to the kzrider site just wondering if anyone has any good ideas or experience with single carb conversion and what's the best aftermarket carb that would work well with my kz440?

There's a thread here about that. Didn't turn out so well.

Good idea, you just can't get the tunability required to make them run right with a single carb. Besides, the carbs really aren't that hard to tune you just have more of them. With the proper tools synchronizing them is also pretty easy.

In case you decide to plunge on ahead. I don't know that much about this stuff, but you might want to consider having a short extender between the carburetor & pod filter to help stabilize the air flow into the carb. i guess something about the same length as the stock airbox ducts. ???

Those carbs are very touchy, your airbox and filter have to be in good shape or tunning id a lost cause. The pilot side seems to foul easily, usually a good cleaning, proper fitment of yhe stock air filter and intake horn will solve most problems.

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

You might also want to carefully study how Harley Davidson does it. That company has sold a gruzillion twin cylinder, single carb bikes. Clearly, it can be done successfully .
