Do yourself a favor and buy the K&N. They come with a sticker that says STOP, don't throw away this filter. It is a life time filter and will last the life of the bike. Believe it. I am on my second one in 30 years. The last one I left out in the weather. KICK, KICK, KICK , K I C K. Dumb Ass!
It's worth every penny.

A lot of guys take up riding thinking it will be cheaper only to find it isn't cheap. $50 is a lot to shell out at one time for something you can't look at. You get what you pay for.

35 years ago I put a K&N in my 900 Ninja and at 26,000 miles on it, I see no need to replace it or even clean it after the latest inspection during a case splitting teardown to replace a started clutch. KZ's are definitely easier to work on compared to a ZX!
