1985 gpz 550 carb needle was created by Mark Ohio 1976
When cleaning the carbs on my 1985 GPZ 550, the needle springs were uneven and required a lot of adjustment to set float height. I looked for new parts and they want $35 for each needle and cable set.... That's the price of a carb kit.... I think I only need needles, anyone know who sells carb parts for this bike at a reasonable cost?

Ok. Another question... Some one added a 4 to one exhaust and took out the baffles. The intake air box and filter is stock. The carbs still have the 114 size main jets installed I was thinking of finding a baffle and putting larger jets.... Any recommendations?

Z1 Enterprises sells just the needle. The springs get weak and won't hold the float up any longer which is most likely the reason for your float height problem.

For bikes with a pipe and/or pod air filters a Dynojet kit will save you a lot of hassle.

If you have not rebuilt the carbs yet, just buy the rebuild kits and be done with it. The 114 hex main jet is stock for the TK27 Carbs.

From the factory, these bikes were jetted a little on the lean side to pass emissions. Add to your rebuild kit list, a Dynojet Stage 1 & 3 Kit, and follow the directions for Stage 1. Instructions are available on their website here:
