Here is mine running the Oval fillters. She is doing great. I guess you can't upload a mp4 or delete a duplicate post.

I would tentatively say you are either myopic or blessed. Maybe both!

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

You can set up CV carbs without an airbox, pros and cons but it can be done. Reading this forum on the subject sometimes and the hostile replies above it is like suggesting a bike with square wheels.
Upjetting plus shimming the needle and pilot air screw adjutment as a minimum, if you are lucky. Air corrector kit, fancy dynojet needles, mains and pilots if necessary.
Personally i love the look and sound of pods on all my bikes, wouldn't have it any other way.
But this isn't as easy like setting up slide carbs...
The CV34 are a blunt instrument, from z650 to z1170. Nice throttle response and economy.

Re: I don't see a problem with bs 34's and k&N ovals
13 Aug 2014 11:17I had 4 Emgo pods for a little while, they were turds. The paper doesn't flow very well, and if they get wet they stop flowing altogether. I also understand that the flanges block off some important holes around the edges of the carb mouths.
I also had 4 UNI pods for a while, but the foam rotted.
I don't recall the exact model of filters I ended up with, or how much they cost, but I did get them used on eBay. I think they originally came from a GS850, or some other model that shares the same spacing as my KZ750-H1.
