Is it bad to remove the emissions stuff from the kz750E? My Kz1000 had it removed when i bought it, just a hose crossing over form reed valve cover to cover and the hole in the air box plugged. Im considering removing it completely as it just gets in the way doing maintenance.

If it is working properly, removing it won't affect running. It just means a little more unburnt fuel will go out of the exhaust.
If it is leaking vacuum, then removing it will make the bike run a little richer.
Usually, when it malfunctions, you will get backfiring through the exhaust system when you close the throttle.
