kz400 2 into 1 carb help

Well those are the Fuel Jets. In the Air horn/ Belmouth, Air filter area, there is Air Jets. These may or may not be the same as the other fellows. The Air Jet for the slow speed may be smaller, than the other example. Do you know if you bought the exact same part # carb?
Plugs can show soot from weak spark also. Float level being to high, Wet Fuel Height should be checked with the Clear Tube Method.

Also what plugs? They are not Resistor plugs are they? "R" in the Part #? Are they the correct heat range?
Universal or Dirt Bike carbs, for a Two Cycle engine are usually quite rich on a 4 cycle motor.

you where correct on the cable thing.
I slacked the the cable then backed off the idle screw and readjusted the cable and then the idle screw.
the idle came down but then it still does not return to normal idle.
I made sure the spring was stretched a bit to ensure a good return.
is it normal for the carb and intake to be ice cold?
I wonder if the slide is not icing up a bit or slightly sticking because it is cold.

Now that you are selling your intake/ carbs, what will you do to get it running again? Stock set up?
