Hi,
I really want to get rid of that ugly air box and the now hardened plastic sleeves connecting to the carbs that are nearly impossible to put back on. I'm running a straight pipe 4-1 exhaust. Haven't checked the current jetting but figured that I'm gonna need new jets once I swap to K&N pods filters. Has anyone done it ? any advice on re-jetting ?

If mine I would just replace those rock-hard air ducts with new, pliable ones - makes life easy. As far as rejetting for pods, if your bike has the original CV carbs you unfortunately have quite a bit of experimentation ahead of you. I hope you like wrenching better than riding. Below is a link to a study in rejetting for pods on CV carbs. Be sure to read the last 3 paragraphs on the last page. Ed
