Thanks . The parts are in stock in garage . I was stumped because the tank is ultra clean. The fuel tap is the same and the needle seat is as clean as a whistle.

Even if the petcock is leaking the fuel should not get past the needle, seat and float. Like Patton said you CANNOT fix a leaking needle and seat by fixing the petcock.
