84 GPZ carbs fit a Z1R?? was created by flhwesty
Got a 84 750GPZ parts bike. Has mikuni 34mm carbs. I held them up to a set of
VM26 carbs and they looked like they were same spread. Am I missing something or will they fit?
1983 GPZ750
1977 KZ1000LTD
1978 Z1R
1981 GPz1100 KZ1100-B1

I know the KZ650/750 and the KZ900/1000 have different spacing. I would assume that the GPZ750 carbs are spaced different than the Z1R spacing. I do not know for sure about the GPZ. Like was mentioned earlier measure will tell you for sure

I did not think they would fit either. Just for sh!ts and giggles I put the two sets of carbs together and it was close if not a match.

I am not sure why you would want to go down in carb size although I went out today and thought holy kaw what is keeping me from falling off the back,

Well I know you can squeeze 26/28/29 carbs onto a 650 with the right boots,I suppose you could reverse procedure if you wanted too. :)

Yes they will fit with the manifolds off a GPZ750, KZ1000J, Gpz1100. The spacing is the same.

I think it the A2. But not sure at this point have only had it for 2 days. It has ownership issues and I think I will part out most of it.

I have a Z1R.
I got a 84 GPZ750 friday. ownership is MIA.
I am going to part the GPZ.
Was thinking of keeping carbs...but do not need them.
They will fit the Z1R and all KZs, just have to make hole in boot oval shaped.
