vm26,28 or 29? was created by rome11six
so i have a 1979 kz1000 that im rebuilding the carbs on and i need to rejet them cause im going pod filters and 4 to 1 header. i have researched a couple places but i cant figure out what carbs i have either vm26,28 or 29 cause iv had different people tell me different things. I think i will go 120 mains and 17.5 pilots (from what research ive done it says to go this route) if i should go with another jet size please let me know. Ive heard of 26mm carbs with accel pumps but ive never actually seen them,All the pumper carbs Ive ever had in my hands were 28s.
Measure the inside of carbs on engine side and see how big they are B)
