...mechanically sync'd.... -- aka bench sync'd -- the baseline setting to equalize throttle slide positions.

As known, a "running" sync -- which is the actual sync operation -- is thereafter required to equalize low rpm performance among the cylinders, with each cylinder's performance being measured by carb vacuum. And which "running" sync usually results in slightly varying throttle slide heights among the carbs to produce equivalent low rpm performance among the cylinders.

An objective of the running carb sync is to achieve the smoothest possible low rpm performance at idle, followed by strong and steady "pull-away" performance from idle.

Smooth equivalent performance among the cylinders also significantly reduces cam chain noise.

Maybe it has nothing to do with air temp,if it was all just gone through you probably just need to spend some time checking/fine tuning things.
