Will have to be another time. Just located the problem I had and it was not the carb holders, they were fine. It was the metalround thingys that you tighten the carbs into the carb holders that was all screwed into the end and did not make it tight. Went to local dealer and bought new metal thingys and voilá - the bike runs almost perfect! Just a vacuum sync then I´m all into the cosmetics of the bike.

I just bought the 550 manifolds from Z1 (not to mention a ton of other things). They look to be the same ones as the factory. They installed fine and seem to work perfectly. They were only $68 for a set of four.

Yes hose clamp. Nothing wrong with the rubbers they were soft and no cracks. I even put gasket seal on the end that screws onto the cylinder head. From shaking and wobbling and taking forever to come off the choke to soft nonshaking and almost no choke. The hose clamp do become stretched with time and should be changed like every decade or at least check that it is tight. Easily done with spraying motorstarter on the manifolds... as you guys already know

Far and away the best place Ive ever dealt with. I just swapped a month old set of Dyna coils for the correct ones which was on their tech dept but they swapped them, no questions asked. I paid to return them, they paid to ship them back to me. I am a lifetime customer from now on.

Just made another order from z1 today, using the new site. It was a bit of a search to find one of the things I always get. It wasn't under the Model anymore but I found it. Otherwise the new site seems ok, just some teething I'm sure.

Right. Finally got the registration to work so now I´m a few dollars short of a happy meal but who cares. In a week or two I´m going to get THE goodie bag for my sweet KZ.
