Help with zx1100 a2 inj was created by chewy
Hi can anyone help me have stripped and rebuilt engine on my gpz 1100 a2 (84) have checked timing perfect real good compression all 125+psi and have good spark and get damp plugs but wont start not even try any ideas ?

Does the fuel pump make a noise when you turn the ignition on?

I take it you've had the bike running previous to the rebuild?

yeah was running fine just replaced head gasket as oil seeping out by no. 1 cylinder that all ran fine uptill then

Chewy,there's nothing I can think of at the moment that's stopping it from starting...other than a flat battery or bad wire connection somewhere perhaps.

Someone else may be able to help you out....welcome to the forum BTW. ;)

When I see this happen, it's generally the ignition coil wiring is reversed. Check that first!

Other than that check this:

Throttle plates not jammed open too far.

Vacuum line is connected to pressure regulator

Cam timing.
