Drag pipes usually don't have baffels, street pipes do.
Is there any bolt holes toward the end of the can?

djesurun1 wrote: Ok, I hope I'm not asking a question that gets asked far too often but I am new here and I did do a little digging...just didn't find the answer i was looking for. I just picked up a 98 KZ1000-P and right off the bat it was missing a petcock...No problem i ordered a Pingel and installed it asap. Everything ran like i would expect out of bike that hasn't been started in almost a year except for the fact that my air filter caught fire haha. Looked at the floats in the carb and sure enough, every one of them are hard to move. I pulled the carbs and i will be cleaning them in the next week or so. Ok so heres my actual question, I found a guy selling some racing exhaust for a kz. Its a 4 to 1 no baffle and he also has the K&N pod filters. Everything is only $140 so Im ready to jump all over it. While I have the carb off, am I going to have to change the jets or would it be rideable with the stock jets? Am I getting too much performance parts and getting in way over my head on this? This is my first real bike but I am most definitely mechanically inclined so changing jets is not a big deal...just a money issue. I looked at the dynojet kits and its a $130 but they don't actually say it is for a 98' KZ1000, it only lists the production years and not the police bike. I would really appreciate any feedback you guys can offer. Thanks in advance!
Do some more "digging" and search under "pods" you will archive a years worth of reading.... sorry to be blunt but this very question gats asked on a weekly basis from new members.
