carb sizes 24-26-28-29 mm see pics ??????????

so what your telling me is that the carbs that measure 25.65 on intake side are 24s
the carbs that measure 28.65 are 26s
and the smoothbore carbs i have which measure 29.64 are 29s
is this what I'm understanding from this forum ??????????

Left to right in your picture. VM28, VM29 smoothbore, VM24. I don't see any VM26's in the picture.

what do 26 s look like ?
and what year do they come on --76 900's or later 1000s
do they look like the 28s with an up and down return spring ?

A lot like the VM29's. You will notice the differences in the number of ports on the air filter side, the size of the bore, and the large drain plug in the case of the 29's. VM26's have a small, angled drain plug.

those far left carbs in your picture are the 73-75 style 28 carbs,the bottem bowls on the 26s/newer 28s and 29s interchange.
the 26s look basically like the newer 28s,the bodies on 29 smooth bores are made of aluminum versus heavy ass die cast zinc for the 26/28s. B)
the far right carbs are 24s off a kz650

Could be 28mm, or 26mm with accelerator pump as used on 79 KZ1000B LTD.

hey patton , i got some mikunis wiith ribs on them , suposedly from a 1977 650 , they have 102.5 jets . would these be 22mm or something else , cant get a good measurement . no #s on the body or bowls just MC and kogyo mikuni
