Dont bother with the plugs for jetting, use your butt. Plugs do lie!

Depends on your ignition system too... they could be getting hot enough to keep themeselves nice and clean (especially new plugs), and tricking you into thinking your jetting is too lean.

These bikes like what seems lean for power and happily play there all day.

Make the most power and you'll be safe and happy with 1 change at a time.

Listen to Larry :P

Hi Larry !.I rejetted to 125 w/ 1mm shim and 17.5 set at 1/2 turn .Has no more exh crackel..YAY !..When I set these up all I could find on slide height info was 1mm and in doing so I had to modify the barrel screws ..I knew this was wrong but I was on a time crunch and now that I still have the bike.I would like to set them up correctly..( bench sync )..Can you tell me what the correct way is? I feel a little dumb asking all these questions about these old carbs. There is no one here in town that knows anything about old bikes...If you only new how much you have helped!..Thanks again!..All the info is VERY appreciated!..........Bill
P.S. I posted on ur site as well !
