I think I am going to do some research on this. I would like to see at least these carbs run (if I can get them jetted correctly ). I have had some pretty good luck with this sort of thing in the past. The cylinder head has been worked;so it should just be a matter of jetting it. I do need to see what these things flow! I noticed your avatar. Are you a Marine ? Jeff

74 Z1-A stock
76 KZ-900 Totaly stock vice MAC pipe
77 KZ-1000A stock
78 Z1-R 100%MINT 500 original Mi.

Both the carb sets you have should be Keihins. Most of us here try to stay away from them and stick with Mikuni because of part availability and cost of re-builds. The Mikuni carbs are much more friendly to modifications on engines and have broader adjustability. I have worked on Keihin carbs in the past and do not like them. You will most likely have to do a lot of tinkering to get them to perform the way you want.
