Hello, I am new to the forum. I have a 82 KZ750N1 and, I am trying to adapt a set of 900 eliminator carbs to it. and I am having some issues:dry: with the intake spacings. Can this be done? The orig. set of carbs for this bike are not salvageable. I am having difficulty finding the correct carbs. Does any one know if this conversion will work? Thanks, Jeff

Post a few pictures of the carbs you are trying to mount and it will be simpler for us to answer you.

74 Z1-A stock
76 KZ-900 Totaly stock vice MAC pipe
77 KZ-1000A stock
78 Z1-R 100%MINT 500 original Mi.
78 Z1-R Yoshi 1103 kit stage 1 cams Yoshi pipe. Etc
79 KZ-1300 (1400)

81 Scratch built GPz1150R

Looking at Kawasaki.com, the Eliminator carbs will not work without MAJOR modifications. You require carburetors for ANY of the AIR COOLED 750s. You would be best off with carbs for the GPz 750s because they are Mikunis and not Keihins. Parts are much simpler to find for Mikuni carbs than they are for Keihin carbs. I am not sure why your carbs can not be rebuilt unless they are smashed up.

no thoughts on the carb issue but I like you scoot!

Doing more research on your carbs (OE) they are the duel butterfly Keihins and were always a pain in the ass. Find a set of Mikuni carbs for a GPz750. they are available on eBay all the time and are not bad to rebuild and the parts are mostly available.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHere seams to be a good set. I would bid as high as $150 for them.

Thanks Guys ! I appreciate all the great responses. I do have them mounted for now. I solved the problems of the spacing with some mods between the 2 pairs. I will get some more photos posted of the carb assy once I pull it back off the engine. I am looking at the Gpz carb assy's now. What major mods need to be done other than jetting if I decide to run the Eliminator carbs?

Thanks! I will get some more shots posted. It now has the rear sets all mocked up and, the small fairing mocked up. i have a new set of Buell gauges I am going to install soon . That ought to be a lot of fun! I like that bike of yours! I need to find a 1000 and start yet another project. Jeff

??????? never attempted those. They are set up for a higher RPM engine therefore most likely completely different.
