so... Let me get this straight... do you have TWO bowls with leaking tubes, or one? Why not just use the ones from your parts carbs?

Tube says to let it cure for 16-24 hours. I am tempted to put it back on tomorrow morning. I think I will run a water and blow (sounds dirty...) test in the morning and see how it goes.

Give it the full 24 hours. It's worth the wait. Otherwise you have a good chance you'll have to do it again. I found that out the hard way.

I have two bowls with leaking tubes. Not sure of the state of the other 3 spare bowls I had. I didn't have them handy to test at the time.

JR, I gave it the blow test this morning and it seemed alright. I already put it on and road to work. We'll see how it holds up. If this one doesn't hold I'll definitely let it sit for the 24 hours next time. Now that I know what kind of thing to look for and it is a relatively quick fix I am okay risking it. (It is the outside float bowl so I can take it off without removing the carbs from the bike).

Talk about bad luck though... Having two leaking bowls like that. Sounds like something that would usually happen to me!

I just realized I should clarify my clarification. Of the four float bowls that were on my bike, one was leaking. Of the four spare float bowls I had, the one I chose to replace the leaking one with also leaked. Not sure of the state of the other 3 spares.
