petcock

I'm learning how to post on this site just today. I took a better flashlight to the petcock and my original reading was wrong the bike is an 83 for sure if your info is right about where res-on-pri are located. Have no tools here cant move the oil cap. think the other owner guled it shut,ha ha Thanks again for all your input

By any chance did you find the Owner's Manual?

I would go ahead & change the oil & filter...
Maybe a new air filter & spark plugs too.
You never know what the po did to the bike.
And, unfortunately, you kinda have to take everything the po said w a grain of salt. People forget or worse.

Before this happened I intended to have a pro go over it. Also before this occured I ran the bike thru the choke settings and the bike idle great. So I have alittle faith left in the po.
