Throttle cable sticking!

I would get the bike to temperature and when the problem occurs I would turn engine off (assuming problem still occurs with engine off?) and remove tank to observe everything. I would unhook cable from carbs and see if problem is still there. That would tell you if it's carbs or cable. Little voice in my head also wonders if one of the slides are expanding with temperature and hanging up in the bore?
