It took a while, but here's an answer to finding a stock KZ440B air box. Line wrawings for three types of air boxes are found earlier in this thread, two made specifically for the KZ440 (one for the B series and one for the D series) and one for the KZ400. A KZ440D air box cannot be fitted to a KZ440B, and vice versa.
I acquired all three boxes, which are plastic castings that Mattel would be proud of. The KZ400 plastic box was in good shape, the two KZ440 boxes were close to being trash, but did have usable intake boots.
The rubber intake boots from a KZ440 are slightly larger than those from a KZ400. BUT, the boots from either KZ440 air box can be retrofitted to a KZ400 air box. The plastic boxes are identical.
So, if you are trying to create a stock KZ440B air box and having trouble finding a complete plastic piece (they're not easy to find), you can create one by acquiring a KZ400 platic box (also hard to find) and boots from an incomplete KZ440D part. Those D boxes are very difficult to find as complelte units, but partial boxes with boots are pretty common and generally cheap. They also tend to be newer, so the boots may be softer.

Kelownarider,
The most recent post in this thread is almost 7 1/2 years old. I doubt if you will get a reply from any of these folks.
