Check one thing first. The bracket holding cables may have got little loose and may be jamming the throttle retainer spring and making slides stick. This happened to me once.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all of your advice on this subject. I took off the carbs this weekend, cleaned them, inspected the boots(they will work till ridin season is over=no leakage). Then I installed them and got the same problem of sticking,WTF!!!
I just looked into the throttle itself and found afrayed cable!!!! I replaced it and no sticking issues. Who would've thought.
Again thanks,
Mike

Update on k.i.s.s.....per timebomb33
The frayed cable wasn't the only issue!!
I TRIED to go for a ride today, when I fired it up the exhaust note sounded different. Not as deep as usual and the sticking throttle was back. Took of carbs to see what was up and found to my dissmay, the #4 sync adjuster had came loose, hence the sticking throttle. It was catching the needle a little and then letting go!!!

Fixed that and synced the carbs and viola, perfect running KZ!!!
I put a little thread locker on all of them so I shouldn't have a problem for a while,I hope.

Has this happened to anyone else before?
Mike

Ok guys,
I have a new problem! I keep fouling my plugs on all the cylinders. Thick, black carbon. I tried cleaning the plugs, but no diffrence. This has happened twice now. Battery is fully charged and timing is set. The air mixture screws are out 1.5 turns and runs good, but only fouls at start up after sitting. And also is hard to start after riding(good and warmed up) and stopping for an 1hr or so and then restarting. Please help. It is very aggravating.
I remember seeing this same problem on here, but can't find it.
Thanks,
Mike

Hard starting after the bike has been sitting hot for an hr or so.Try putting your petcock to prime let it stay like that for a few seconds, then try.I had the same problem with one of my bikes and this cured the problem.Ithink the float bowl levels get low after sitting hot and take time to fill up again.Carbon fouling may be caused buy worn valve stem seals,or guides. And if youre trying to start with low bowl levels the bike may be trying to burn any oil that has bypassed while sitting.Just my thoughts

Thanks jeff,
I'll double check the float levels to make sure the are not to low or maybe to high.

I know I have seen something on here about the mixture screws, they might work in reverse on these carbs? Turn them out makes them richer,or something like that.

I am not burning any oil at all. Motor was freshened up before I bought it.
Thanks,
Mike

Did your carbs come with the plug over the pilot jet?

Some 34's require the plug to be there some don't. Roy

Double check your timing. Does it begin to run bad as your riding? Or only when trying to start it? Spark might be bad. Search the coil fix on here.
