Really impressed....
25 May 2009 13:46
With the BS34s, they are head and shoulders above the CV34s. With an 810 kit, gpz750 cams, 4-1, pods, hot coils and these BS34s, what should I be looking at as far as HP? I don't wanna get to excited, but the seat of the pants is fantastic!!! Has anyone dyno-ed this kind of steup? Oh, and I feel a little starved when it is first getting going, can anyone suggest a freer(?) flowing inline filter? I have the little plastic type, the pancake style, not cone.
Thanks fellas.

if it is hesitating down in the lower rpms it wont be from fuel flow that is something you would notice at high rpm when the motor really needs alot of fuel. what it sounds like to me is that you will need to raise your needle up a notch or 2. that will have the largest affect on your transition from lower rpm to mid range.

i like the bs34 s i put on my bike also....try running the cone shaped ones z-1 has...i think they are advertised as high flow although its more than likely you might have to mess with pilot jets...i cant help with needle raising on these carbs like tb mentioned...mine were rebuilt when i got them, so i never tore them open...
something makes me think the stock needles arent adjustable...but i could be totally wrong on that...otaker would know for sure......keith

Take a look at the Golan Mini and Super-mini filters. They claim to flow up to 6 gallons per minute and filter down to 10 microns. If you need more floow than that you'll need much bigger fulel hoses
