bs 34's and pods.. was created by brianrae33
for the record..have an 82 ltd1000 and used the emgo pods..4-1 v&h pipe..no issues what so ever..throttle response is great..and tacs way out..should note have the bs 34's that some said wouldn't operate correctly with pod filters..

This bike may have had a stage 3 kit put into it. Did it have a K&N filter in the stock air box? Did it have the lid on the air box?

I would be willing to bet that the needles are not stock and the slides are not either. I have gone threw the full range of 130 to 145 jet sizes with stock carbs and the bike will not get to 7000revs. Not until the slides got changed and the needles. You MIGHT be able to stay with stock needles. but not with stock slides. They will not open all the way because of the lack of sufficient vacuum. For PODS you would need a minimum of a stage 3 kit.

not trying to be argumentative here, but i got my k and n 's today and i put them on..i had tried to clearance out the emgos with a dremel.....
bike runs super....45 pilots and 135 mains 3 turns out.....strong on the bottom, good midrange and its still pulling well at 8500.....i got the chance to whack it open pretty good 3 times in a quick ride and it was still pulling at 8500.....the last one was an 8500 1-2 and i was like "this thing moves pretty good".....i couldnt be happier...this is the 3rd set of carbs i ve tried and i think i m home
on this set....its nice to finally cruise around low speed and have good response and have it relocate quickly when i whack it......:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
