I decided to grow the balls, and buy the fully cleaned and rebuilt carbs on ebay. The guy is in lower canada, and for some reason is gonna wait til wed to ship, but hopefully about two weeks from now I will have them in, put them on the bike, tune them, and be riding by mid May.

First bike was a 1981 Kawasaki KZ750 LTD good bike to learn on, not to fast, not to slow, really stable.

Picked up a 80' KZ750 Twin non-running, last summer, got it running, have had carb problems galore will hopefully have it running in may.

I have a set of 29 smoothbores that have the cylinders 1 and 2 pilots stripped and butched does the heat trick work or should I try to drill them out?

the problem with drilling, is catching the seat, if you mess the seat where the pilot settles in, it might not work right. or at least that is what i was told by a machinist

So finally got new carbs, well rebuilt carbs, off ebay 170 bucks, and the guy didnt charge me for shipping. Having a look over them, only found one thing wrong so far, and that is he put the main jets in wrong, hopefully he didnt force them, so it didnt screw anything up. I figure with such a simple mistake like that, i am gonna tear them down just to check if anything else is wrong. would suck if i put some super grateful ebay response, and they break down due to something he didnt explain in the posting.
