carbs

I posted here on a rectifier a week or so ago, now I need information on the carbs. I sent a photo to a guy and he said my carbs were cv flat slides. I can't find any info on them at the Mikuni website. Anyone know where I can find info on these?

Thanks

djs699 - I haven't seen much in this thread that would allow me to hazard a guess on what carburetor assembly you have. No bike info, no pictures, no intake manifold-side ID measurement...
I don't mind speculating if there is just a little info to go on.

For everyone concerned that I didn't jump into this with both feet, keep in mind that I read tech posts once or twice a day and will try and answer every one I can as time permits and I feel I can add something useful. Cheers!

Well, When I tried to up a photo of the carbs it said file too large. So I cut the photo down and that's the photo you see beside my name. The motor is a 1980 A3-A4, so the local dealer said. A gentleman at a salvage yard told me yesterday they are original equipment on later models, not aftermarket. At buykawasaki.com they are not shown on any model I've found so far. I'll be glad to send you any and all photos I have, and take more if needed. Just tell me where to send em.

Thanks

Can't tell what that thing is in your avatar. This web site has a limit of 150K for pictures. Use MSPaint to resize. MSPaint has a tab called IMAGE where you can check the size (ATTRIBUTES) and change the size (STRETCH/SKEW). It would be best to post photos here. The carbs you show in the pic in your avatar certainly wasn't used on any Mikuni 73-80 KZ900/KZ1000 and may be from a much later model and someone else might be more familiar with the later models.
