From what the manual said they are Mikuni 34's. I have a bid in on ebay for a set of mikuni's off of an 85 suzuki GS700 that I think are pretty close to mine.

I just got mine back from WG and they look brandy spanking new, if you have the time. I would send them into him. He even live tested them on a bike so I know that if I have a problem, I will be looking elsewhere. I am doing a total rebuild and its just not worth my time right now.

due to the rules of my favorite forum we are not allowed to recommend services or vendors sorry dude.

PRODUCT OR SERVICE ADVERTISING IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN
KZrider.com is not a place for you to solicit sales of any kind. No member is allowed to refer to their own business, or any business to which he/she is associated, through the discussion forum or personal messaging system (U2U). There are two exceptions: 1. Each member is allowed a simple link (somesite.com) in their signature. The link shall include no description of any kind. 2. Paying advertisers are allowed to post in the vendor forum.

You are allowed to point to services you can recommend. It's just that "No member is allowed to refer to their own business". I recommend Z1enterprises all the time.

These policies are in place in order to protect paying advertisers from competition from non-paying advertisers (why would someone pay if they can do the same for free just by posting). The policies also prevent the forum from being one big advertisement. Before this policy, this site was funded privately and it's not a cheap site to run. KZR tried to run on donations alone, but it just wasn't enough. It's not a political issue, it's just a matter of funding, otherwise this site, and all of it's priceless info, disappears into the ether.

Thanks for the advice and sorry if it got you in any trouble. The carbs on my 700 are doing fine, but could probably use some cleaning in the not so distant future. I am looking for/buying a set so I can learn how to disassemble/clean/reassemble carbs and when mine really need it, I'll be able to do them myself.

I was wondering that too, the Kaw shop manual said BS34 and I thought a 34mil setup was a little large for that motor

they are cv carbs so that can be a bit decieving cv's don't flow any where near as good as slide carbs or flat slides do there is a formula to figure out proper size for a given cc and i have it but for the life of me i can't find it tonight i'll try later.

i think you could do it and may just need a guy to call if you get stuck...do not strip the heads off the small screws that hold the carb bottoms on that is where the little jets youll be cleaning are....do not mix the insides between carbs....dont use a metal hammer for anytrhing...get as big a clean bench area as ya can......drink a few redbulls put on some good melow music(so your relaxed and not in a hurry)you will get faster on carbs later ,,,for now just enjoy the lesson.... and have fun...dont get mad...a nice metal peanut dish with some carb cleaner sprayed into a puddle...some rally fine copper wire in a few sizes braided constuction wires can offer a donner strand.. to use on the tiny jets...soke em in the fluid puddle and poke em clear.carful not to break the wire off in a hole...an air nozzle to blow em out......you will do fine....a manual and some bucketts of warm water to clean the cancer stuff off the paws...work over a mat so if you drop any bits they don't take off.....remove/and rplace easy and mark stuff if in doubt....NO BIG DEAL......good luck
