yes i know they are quite readilly available but try explainning to the average customer that every thing is good with there bike but to make it perfect they will need to spend another 200 dollars on a bill that will be anywhere from 500.00- 1000.oo dollors as it is you might get a bit of resitance sometime people don't like to deal with the obvious. they almost always act like your out to screw them for some reason they act like there motorcycle and there lawnmower are one and the same. it does take some money from time to time to get as much enjoyment out these beasts as we do. the old saying you got to pay to play is the truth.

I'm sure many customers would opt to buy cheap pods, but if they compare decent pods to an equivalent airbox filter and new airbox hoses they'll find pods to be much more expensive.

Airbox Hoses: $36.61
K&N Airbox Filter: $36.45
Total: $73.06

K&N Pods: $144.63

Decent pods cost about twice as much as new hoses and decent airbox filter.

Airbox Hoses

K&N Airbox Filer

that is true as well god i love ammerican pricing up here that would be all most double if not more so it can be a big hit if they aren't prepared and i have found over the years if it isn't something that causes there bike to quit running they tend to ignore it i guess hoping the problem will go away.

The plain Jane paper filter element for the 650s is $5.12 from Z1E . My bikes run very well with that filter and I like the nice wide torque curve they both have.

I think there is a lot of satisfaction of having a smooth running machine that pulls hard and consistently from off-idle to red-line. They are very street friendly machines in my book. All I need to do is twist the throttle in any gear at any RPM and they just accelerate smoothly without bobble, hiccup, stutter, or complaint. That brings a smile to my face.
