Buzz at Dynoman is a good guy... Bought my Kerker there as well, chrome $500 and my CAMS....

Be very accurate in your answers to his questions regarding your motor, setup, air filters, cams, basically any non stock modifications etc...

Keihin pre jets for stock configurations... Basically install, adjust your pilots, carb synch and you'll be real close in a stock setup... Then adjust your jetting for idle to 1/4 and for 1/4 to 3/4 and full throttle settings....

Either 29mm or 31mm will be good for that bike....

As explained to me for what I was looking for... 34's, great carb but these are racing carbs and unless your truly riding that bike at mid to full throttle, waste of time putting a 34 on any motor for your truly not getting the full optimum performance from them....

For most of us due to age, riding style, to old to get stupid all the time, 29mm-31mm is the way to go... ;)

With my 1015cc, .365 cams and the 29mms (that was the recommendation) my first ride was amazing, only up and down the street for now mind you but wholly shiza, nearly pissed myself for I just couldn't believe the response out of this setup... ;)

Thanks for the info. I sent them a email on pricing.

No racing for me just a nice ride with some power to get out of trouble if need be.

I don't know anything about your bike, but if they had BS34's those are a dime a dozen. You can probably crack open a beer and start cruising Craigslist one night. I saw someone on there had 5 racks of them laying around. They are very common and were used on the police bikes. Should do until you get your rack back.

Again though, I don't know anything about your year and model.

Here's a set. Verify they will work on your bike though.

Must be nice you finally got that thing running on more than one cylinder. Are you absolutely CERTAIN that the vaccumm isnt .000000000000000000000001 off? Maybe build a side car to carry the gauges while their hooked up and mount a video screen between the handle bars to constantly moniter all system functions for proper operational dynamix. Maybe you can graph the results and read them while.... there is JUST no end to the tuning abilities of Old Man Rock! Gotta give u one for determination. Now u just need to attach a bottle opener to the frame so you can crack beer bottles open without getting out of bed. We know what what the Rock is "REALLY" cookin!

You can mount any Kawasaki-Mikuni-KayHin 34mm CV carbs for the 750,1000,1100, 1000 police in the 1991-1985 vintage on that bike. The 750 and 700 carbs go beyond those years. You can find a decent set on eBay for between $100 and $200. The carb spacing for all of these carbs is the same and will bolt right on. I just won a set for $102 which are the identical ones that were on your bike on eBay, a couple of minutes ago and they seem to be in very good shape.

darrel if you do get a set for the bike and they arent quite right you can get rebuild kits for them thru sudco or k&l supply or jeff at z1 should be able to get them for you and like a few people have said cop bike carbs will work fine enough to get you up and running before you have to go. by the way there is no great mystery about carbs like some people would have you believe, out of a 32 week out door power equipment course i teach we spend about two weeks in total teaching the students the in's and out of quite a few differant fuel systems and most people don't have to much problem grasping the basics just take your time use your god given common sense and be methodical and carb's you will find are pretty basic. for about the last 18 years in the spring after a winter of gas evaporating in the bowls and generally going bad i usally end up cleaning or rebuilding roughly 50 to 60 sets of carbs a year .i dont take them right apart unless it is nesscary but i do make them run again and that is what is important right.

And before anyone/everyone freaks out on me.....

I'm not trying screw anyone here out of work/services but I am trying to help a fellow member out in a situation where he's running out of time (deployment) and from the feedback/replies, doesn't seem like he's going to get his re-built carbs back any day soon. Hopefully I'm wrong on this...

Darryl, now that you're hearing others inform you of where to get re-build part kits and that you yourself can accomplish, instead of buying another used set, why not get your carbs back and get busy on them...

Then there's this.... You'd have to buy another 30 year old used set and let's face it, most probably have to re-build those as well and pending model, these kits aren't over priced but aren't cheap either when buying 4 kits...

For everything you have now spent/invested, could of bought a brand new set and been riding already...

And yes, even with a new set, there's some tweaking required but as mentioned in other postings regarding this carb tuning process, SUDCO/Mikuni will pre-jet the set for installation where she will start & run with out a doubt... Possibly just an idle adjustment and you'd be fine...

When you get back and have some more time, a slight tweak of pilots, possibly some synching, some further idle adjustment, possibly some jet clip changes and you'd be up and running optimally.

Sorry for your situation brother... Either way you go, hope it all works out for ya!

I'm hoping to receive a tracking # some time this week about my carbs.
"Since you called me out publicly, why not explain that I told you that your set would be ready within a week or two"

I have a shop ( www.dreamcycles.net ) that I will be taking the carbs to after I get them back and he will inspect the carbs for me. He finds this mess quit disturbing as well.

"I'm not trying screw anyone here out of work/services" I am just posting about the facts of the service I recieved, nothing more nothing less.

In the mean time, I'm still not sure what to buy. I'm leaning towards a new upgraded set for the bike now.
