No fuel problem was created by bigpappab
82 KZ1100 A2 model
Swapped to a Pingle petcock, carbs recently got a jet kit and 4 air filter pods (I did none of the carb stuff..previous owner).
Fuel flows freely from petcock down to the "T" fitting on the carbs but am getting nothing to the plugs..no start. I noticed there are 2 rubber vacuum lines coming from 2 of the carbs that go to a "T" but the end of the line goes nowhere, just hanging there. My Clymer manual shows nothing about where it is supposed to go.
Could this be part of my problem?...HELP!!

The two rubber lines are not vacuum, they are just float bole vents and "Just hang there" Something in the carburetors is not set up right. Will the bike kick if the choke is on?

OK, just vents. I can deal with that.

Bike will not fire. Cranks like crazy but no fuel. I pulled and the plugs and they are dry as a bone

I apologize:blush: !!!!! They are vacuum lines. They go to a "T" which in turn goes to the air valve on top of the engine. "My Bad" The valve has a vacuum switch in front of it specifically for this hose. It is the same valve that the two hoses go to from the top of your cam cover. But, I don't think that is your problem. This would just cause a lean condition but would not prevent the bike from starting. You said that you are getting gas to the float boles?

Well, at least there "Was" fuel in them. I just checked them enough to make sure they weren't clogged.
I'll go check...standby

Stab in the dark.Since I'm not familiar w/ Pingle making a vac. petcock am guessing there are 3 vac. lines which need be blocked. Am guessing you have fuel in carbs.G

Ok, I drained the bowls the turned the gas back on and they refill no problem.

Pingle does NOT make a vac model that I am aware of either. I have not blocked any lines either

I got the bike back from the shop after the carb rebuild and jet kit and it ran great for about 10 miles. I had an electrical issue preventing the battery to charge. I replaced the rectifier, hopefully that fixes it.
I just started having this carb problem. I'm guessing there is something clogged somewhere? I didn't notice those 2 vacuum lines loose before so I thought this could have been a problem.

In this case, I would guess that the main jets are clogged from sitting. On vac carbs, if the main jets are clogged this will prevent fuel going anywhere els. This includes Idle jet or Fuel enriching/choke. You should at least take the carbs off and clean all the jet holes and port holes. Are you getting SPARK????
