I don’t know why everyone says it’s so difficult to remove carbs with an airbox. You can pull the airbox boots into the airbox by sticking your arm in it, and it can be done with hardened ones, too. I’ve done it many times myself. But on the topic of pod filters, I just bought a set of K&N for the cv carbs that I bought for my ‘81 KZ650 CSR because an idiot destroyed my VM’s by leaving them in solvent way too long. I bought and installed a MAC 4 into 1 and will be installing Dynatek Dyna S ignition with coils, and have ordered 137.5 main jets and 40 pilot jets along with needle shims. Let the fun begin.
Shiny Side Up!!

Wow, here is an old thread.
I ended up putting those pods on that LTD with new jets. It ran stronger than ever and it was a marked improvement.
It was never a daily, so I never noticed a downside.

I have a 1000p12 now and am torn on doing the same again because of the CV carbs.

I put my KZP back together with the air box and I was thinking how much easier pods would be the whole time.
