Is that original for 650's also? Carb inlet and petcock outlet same size? Dealer is no help, I prefer clear to see if gas is flowing or not. Thanks :)

Yes it's 1/4" pretty much. Of course Kawasaki didn't use 1/4", they used 6.5mm ID on the 650 and 7.5mm ID on larger displacement like the KZ1000MKII. 1/4" will work for either of these. Trust me, you cannot buy metric fuel line anywhere in the entire world unless you order stock Kawasaki fuel line at $30 or so per 1/2ft. Z1 enterprises has thin wall 1/4"? That's what you want. Go to a dealer or autozone or any place similar you can get 1/4" fuel line, no problem, but it will be high pressure auto hose with 2/3" OD. No good for bikes.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I get the metric size fuel line from either the yammy or honda shops close to me, they stock many sizes, they have been selling a blue tinted line which works well

Yep, 1/4 fits great. I just got some from Z1 myself. It was tough to get on over the main fuel intake at the carbs but I found that if I slightly heated the end, that it would go on a little easier.

Careful though, if you heat it too much it sort of just bulges out around the top as you try to push it down. B) If that happens to you, let it cool a bit and it should go on easier.

Why is it no good for bikes? Seems to work fine on mine. Do I need to change it?

Thinner walled fuel line allows for more flexibilty for routing purposes. And being more flexible, it's also less likely to pull a barbed fitting loose or off when you remove it. :S

Oh OK. I routed mine from the tank across all 4 carbs then sweeps around and under carbs to large in-line filter then to carbs so no tight bends.;)
