I have a KZ750E2, 1981.

I have to get these carbs rejetted for the Pods and Exhaust asap so I can save a few bucks soon on fuel getting to & from work when the weather gets a tad bit better.

The engine is Bone stock.

What Jets/kits should I get?
Just too many at Z1 enterprises for me to figure it out.
Also, Jeff Saunders, will you substitute the stock kit jets for a different pair that are for the Kerker and pods?

Hi Randy
Are your carbs the stock Keihin CV34 ?

If so then this thread might help.
kzrider.com/component/option,com_joomlab...w/catid,3/id,188488/
I would suggest upping the secondary main from stock 125 to 135 and leaving the stock 62 primary main alone. WG suggests upping the secondary main to 140 and the stock 62 to 68 or 70.

Z1 has the larger jets. Go to their website and type keihin in the search box. They dont list the smaller jets but I believe they can order them if you want.

If you have the Mikuni BS34s then I just wasted 10 min

Good luck

They could be Keihins. They could be anything. It's hard to tell. If they are it will say Keihin on the body of the carb in the photo just below the chromed carb cap. They look like Keihins but I dont see a choke lever ????

If i found the cap somewhere online for my stock airbox, would i have a different set of Mains VS the Pods?

Its the idle i am trying to get right and the take offs from lights and stops, the bike just juggalugs and then opens up like a rocket after 10 MPH.

I want it to open up like a rocket all smooth and even from takeoff and at idle and "NOT" have to have the choke at 1/2 all the time fouling my plugs out.

Hi, I am new to the site but when I saw that you had the same problem I just got sorted out I had to chime in. Here is a link to the thread I started to solve my problem. That bigger get out of your carb is the primary main jet (at least that is what it is in the manual).

I went to the Keihin web site and had to order them through Sudco. I hope this helps, if not I might be able to help you.

I thought i was getting this one, probably a (new hire) mistake is all.
I will wait and see what jeff wants to do, in the meantime i will ride it with the crappy #62's

z1 enterprises jeff
I didnt get the ones i thought i was purchasing. still need the 70 primary jets, the 62's suck donkey nuts. the idle smoothed out a bit but the pods are wanting the larger ones.
cant believe how much more responsive the throttle is though with the 140 secondary mains, but its not right with the idle so i am dissatisfied using the 62's. dont want to run 1/2 choke, i want it right.
