u will get a great deal of debate as to witch is best.it depends also , what u expect .do u want a killer top end bike, a bottom end torque monster,an all around bike .
smaller carbes will serve the bottom end better, larger the top end.
bs 34s are in the mid.
the 29's probably fall in the mid and are high on price.$400 to $500.
vm33s are better on top with not too much loss on the bottom and are cheeper.$300.
cr ,and rs are upper range in $($450) and performance.then the cfr's

A guy told me that my carbs were 29 smoothbores but I'm kind of doubting they are. They have the 3 screws on top but looking in them they don't look like the smoothbores. They might be 28's....
Perhaps this carb ID guide from Z1E might be helpful.

I am debating whether I should go ape shit and order the ape 1327 big block kit undercut the gears which I am going to do regardless and weld the crank up. Run 34 smoothies or keep my 29 smoothies and just do 1075. My bike runs pretty good and when I hit it good I can smoke the rear tire at 30 without too much but I do have a gear in it and that takes the highway speed down to 80 or so which is revving the engine a little much to keep up with the group I ride with. Questions questions they make me crazy thinking about what the best set up is to run and still keep the bike bullet proof. Overheating issues etc. But that sounds great. I had a zr1100 which I thought was a nice machine but still I yearn for a bit more than that. Dynoed that bike gave 96 at the rear wheel after the v&h pipe. I think I would like to get about 120 or so to be completely happy. I have ridden with guys that have 200hp bikes. But then technology and liquid cooled made that a reality. I have a feeling that if I spend all of this money I might end up with a bike I can only ride when it's cool out and for a short time. Arrg. Decisions.

Yeah those carbs are a bit small. If you could find a set of 29s bet they'd put a smile on your face for a bit. When I changed my 26s put dyna ig and plate my bike totally changed around. Instead of pulling wheelies I would mostly end up smokin the rear tire. What a difference can I tell you. I heard that you can get some good suzuki carbs for cheap and if you look around you probably could find a set of 29s on the cheap. I got mine for 150 and I know that they sell for up to 600 dollars and one bike shop mechanic told me that my carbs could fetch a grand. I am going back to sell them to him with a quickness if he gives me a grand or even close to that. They sounded jealous that I had a pair and wanted them. I told them I would consider it if they made me a fair offer. lolThe carbs are 26's. I may keep them on for awhile but will probably do something else later
The guy I was considering having rebuild my bike told me to get rid of them and get some 34s and with the 1075 and really good head work that would make a huge difference. But a set of those new sell for around 615 dollars. For the money I am going to put into this bike without thinking twice I could certainly buy a haybusa and run stock all day long spanking the kzs around but then it wouldn't be that much fun. I love this crazy bike of mine. I would ask around for sure though about some bigger carbs so you can make that engine wake up and respond like it should
