I need some help to calculate the exact percent between gas and air in the carburattors. I have looked for an owner's manual or something like that to help me, but I still haven't found what I'm looking for. People I ask keep telling me that it's an old model. You are my last hope. If you have any fiches or even the manual,please don't let me die looking for it

Why are you looking for this kind of information? Is it specifically to find out what fuel/air ratio is required to make an engine run? Start here if that's what you need.

Are you asking about how to adjust the carbs?
What year and model of 650?
Please describe problem involved.
All other tune-up steps should be done before any carb adjusting.

Someone here will have the info you need, I've got 3 different Manuals.
We just need to know what year/model (looks like a C model) you have and what exactly you want to do.

Dunno about bike carbs/engines......but back in the day when I was spinnin' wrenches at the Chevy dealer, air/fuel ratio was "supposed to be" 14.7 to 1. This could be fiddled with til late 70's or so, if memory serves, then "they" decided to seal the mixture adjustment screws.

Do you actually own a wideband a/f ratio meter and do you have some provision to connect to your ride? Just curious.

As far as tuning the carburetors, 14:1 air/fuel ratio IS NOT optimal for every range of operation... Each circuit in the carburetor has an optimal ratio (they are all close but not exactly 14:1) and at open throttle, 14:1 would be very rich. At idle it would be lean.

We received an old steel exhaust system yesterday where we are going to install an exhaust gas analyzer sensor for more precise testing when we do road tests to be able to more quickly and accurately set up jetting. After the pipe gets cleaned up and finished, we will get the sensor welded into the collector.
