Warren thanks.

I just found 10 old NGK B7ES plugs and cleaned them off. Saved a ton of money. Have to confess, used soap and water, carb cleaned and a wire brush to clean them andget the oil off. Now they are sitting on a hot home radiator drying out.

No one said it was complicated. I simply asked of the forum, what  approach ppl take when cleaning spark plugs. Simple.

I get that it's just easier to replace them, but I've never found any difference between new plugs and ones that I cleaned.

How to clean spark plugs?
With a spark plug cleaner.

I have one mounted to my wall just above my compressor.  They cost 20-30 bucks.  I have multiple bikes, tractor and a bunch of yard equipment.  So its paid for itself many times over.

I put them on a bag of marshmallows and shake it around. Spark plugs come out shiny brand new! Thanks for your thoughts!

A spark plug cleaner was about the 2nd item I bought when I was a young hot rodder.  I wore out the first one and had to buy another one.  They really come in handy when trying to adjust carbs.  I admit to being cheap, but with the price of spark plugs today the cleaner makes a ton of sense.  I think my last one was like 20 bucks and came with the media.  It's a lot easier than other spark plug cleaning suggestions.  I just make sure to get ALL the media out of the interior of the plug after cleaning.  If you get one just make sure you know which way the little lever goes to clean the spark plug and to blow off the residue.  Also make sure to keep pressure on the plug while it is in the cleaner and it is operating or a mess will ensue.
