Rolf, I think we all got the virus the same way. As a kid I lived in a large building with a huge garage. I remember going to the garage at night and sit on the bikes imagining I was riding.

No cure. The virus is there to stay

So much so... I learnt the hard way too!

But all´s well that ends well... so lets ride and forget!

Cheers!

For a lot of us, I think it started with the baseball cards in the bicycle spokes, held there with the spring loaded clothespin.  (I would guess that was the reason my bicycle still had a front fender on it)

So, some months after "officially" finishing the bike, and just as a quick update, the bike runs like a dream. Excellent acceleration, speed, handling and extremely comfortable. Even the speedo, that did not work, has started working.

I have a couple issues to iron out, namely:

- Oil leak from the cam cover and cam cover rubber seals
- Tacho needle jumping around (but not affecting the engine, just the needle).

For the rest, I am really happy with the bike. I have only ridden some 200 kilometres, and as it will get hot really soon in Spain, I will switch to 20w50 soon. For the moment, I ran 10w40.

Cheers!

Carlos

Gdizard, I have now undertaken relisting of a 1988 jaguar XJS v12.... and always keep an open eye for new projects. I have always liked the Honda CBX750, so if I find a cheap enough project, I may bite again!

If I have to be honest, the Kz1000LTD project was awesome, but intense and very long!

I have always thought that the 12 cylinder Jaguar was very interesting .
