Do you have aftermarket high duration cams installed?  Those numbers are okay, but a little low if the stock cams are being used.

Engine has 1984 ZX1100-A2 GPZ 12044-1057 cams with 300 degree duration and .375" lift.

The stock (standard) 12044-1027 cams have 270 degree duration and .320" ish lift.

What would the compression likely be with the stock cams installed?

Higher, just don't know how much.  One of the hot rod engine guys will have to answer.  My guess is about 10-15 psi more?

Totally different...beautiful!

Noticeable power increase all over, but really flies over 5K to the red zone.  The engine holds the red line nicely.

I have the rev limit set on 9.5, but may just bump that to 10.

If it were me, I wouldn't worry about the static compression numbers unless you are going to race it competitively. Just enjoy it. The numbers by themselves don't mean much. There are too many other factors that play into the engine's condition.

If it were riding badly, then I would worry about the compression numbers and that would just be a starting point for other tests.

You have to ask yourself...do you enjoy riding the bike or working on it.

At this point I'm done...nothing more is needed!  All set for an early Spring romp.

I'm done making mechanical enhancements on this bike.  Each project started was concluded, and all surpassed expectation.
However, the original paint does have some chips and scratches...

I imagine her wearing a coat of Candy Apple Red.
