Removing the exhaust constantly. to do simple maintenance would really suck. (removing the center stand is also not desired IMHO) The Delkevic for my 81 LTD has none of those problems / quirks. It allows easy access to the oil filter and drain plug, plus retention of the center stand . I would imagine a later model system could easily be adapted to the earlier model Kz1000. As Perry Stated, no problemo>

I have a Denco left hand side on my 650 and love it. I have removed the center stand, but not due to the exhaust. Do not have to remove it for oil filter change.

I have the Jardine slipons that fit right on the end of cut off stock headers with the cross over.
They are much quieter then my wife's bike but have a nice bark when I put the hammer down, and a good growl when I back off, really scares the shit out of all types of deer:)

Just remove rear mounting bolt and slightly push down on rear of pipe, drain plug will come out. Put some aluminum foil around pipe to keep it clean.
