And have been soaking the studs with some spray penetrant for the past 2 weeks since this picture.
Just do it! The suspense is killing me!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
Its almost as if there WAS no rust. Nuts came off with VERY little effort. I was amazed and pleased!!
Tomorrow morning I tackle the install. Will keep you posted!
Thanks for your interest!

Be prepared to see the header area turn gold and possibly blue when you fire up the engine. Stainless steel does that. Its normal.

Not a big deal and easy enough to cut the bracket i had and drill a new hole in it. Also a bit fiddly setting up the stop for the centre stand but all in all very happy with the system.

lot of ppl with Hondas seem to have issues with the Delkevic fit, but not so much, I hear with Kawasakis. Im happy for the exhaust to change color. I think it will look fantastic. I hope it turns blue though, not gold.
I might take the center stand off it if interferes with things too much, though I love a center stand.

I also had to modify the muffler bracket, but mine is a police KZ. So some fitment issues were to be expected.

If it turns blue your carbs are running lean. It should turn bronze/gold if your carbs are set up correctly.

A few weeks back I decided my stock exhaust was too quiet. I started investigating 4 into 1 options. Delkevic seemed the best of the lot, and after having a few conversations with ppl who swapped over to Delkevic, I took the plunge. The full exhaust was $325 shipped free from Delkevic. I bought it from them because I loathe 3rd parties.
When I made the decision to get the Delkevic, I carefully looked over the stock system on my bike. The pipes (I had wrapped them a few months ago) werent rusted but the exhaust studs and bolts were. Pics below.
I sprayed WD-40 PENETRANT (not the regular wd-40) oil on the bolts. Checked back a week later and they came right off like magic.
Installing the Delkevic was easy, as was removing the stock exhaust. I loosened the exhaust bolts first, then the rear footpeg bolts and voila the exhaust came right down. It was also easy to singlehandedly remove the entire stock exhaust in one piece.
To make a long story short, Im very happy with the Delkevic system. Everything they supplied, copper exhaust crush washers, exhaust springs, rear footpeg bracket and center stop bracket, all fit perfectly.
And the sound! Omg at 7k rpms its magnificent - if you like loud, raucous exhausts
