Greetings,

I JUST installed a V&H pipe on my 1977 KZ 1000 LTD, (13017LTD) and thought, OK..... this is going to sound bad ass but it is quiet as the stock Jardines I just pulled off. Is the baffle removable on this? I removed the bolt on the end of the pipe but I did not want to start prying & pulling the baffle out. Has anyone done this before? I assume it's going to be a "STRAIGHT PIPE" and be way too loud then like a race track pipe and have to fuss around with re-jetting???? Geeze, I just blew $500 bucks on this.....not really too happy....

Any comments are welcome and soothing...... after I have a few grogs......

Just acquired a 1977 KZ 1000 LTD after riding Harleys for 30 years. I remembered these bikes back in high school with the Kerker pipe and figured what the heck? A very fun bike!

I have a hooked tool with a handle that fits through one of the holes and use that to pull it out .......will take a little force but it will pop out and maybe take a few tries to get the bolt hole lined back up when putting it back...... I like the larger comp baffle like Steve but have never run packing on either ......... if your stock baffle is still made with a plate covering the holes at the end of the baffle (on the inside) removing that without the packing makes it even louder than the comp baffle but still street able.
