Why don't you try the Parts Wanted forum? or ebay?

That part fits scades of different bikes. Shouldn't be hard to find. Be aware that a lot of used ones have broken bolts in them. It's not difficult to remove the broken bits but it helps if you are experienced in doing so otherwise get one without any.

We didn't get a lot of those models in Australia, I've been to a few shops and rung a few parts places but no one has anything, The part is obsolete through Kawasaki..I may have to get creative with some devcon. I've put this topic in the wanted section...

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationA lot of those covers you listed have different bolt patterns for the chain guide, do the chain guides differ or are the covers different too....?

I know its a bolt on part, thats what has broken my cover, some previous genius over tightened the bolts and snapped the top off and split the cover.... My point was that in those links you posted they had different bolt patterns for the chain guard.

I only provided one link. Did you look at it? I think it's the proper cover. The cover on my 750 was broken so I searched ebay until I found the right one and then I bought it. I had to extract two broken bolts but that was no big deal.

The list of bikes I provided previously came from the parts fishe at Partzilla. I can't say for sure if this information is right or wrong though.

Here is a photo of my 750 showing the cover. I believe your R1 used the same cover as a bunch of different bikes. Main difference is the chain guard piece and how it fits on the cover.

I'm not sure what happened or I saw your post as you posted it, but that link wasn't there when I replied...? The links I mentioned earlier were the ones from Partzilla, some were definitely not the same, the one in the Ebay link looks correct but it says "Does not ship to Australia"...!!! ... I would grab that if he'd ship to Aus.... what a bummer... I tried to message the seller but can't even do that..!! Any Florida members that could possibly grab that and ship for me...?

Is the one you found local? That chain guard looks cheezy. What does yours look like?

I'm not sure what you mean Steve, I haven't found anything local, Nessism gave me that link and another member said he will be pulling one off a spare engine some time in the future, but if I could get someone stateside to help me purchase the one in the link, i would grab it now, It would save me patching up the damaged one I have, its the only one for sale I've managed to see thats exactly the same as mine. Yes, the chain guard is flimsy but that's how they came from the factory... ;) I'm in Australia....
