Weird Sound Starting a KZ750 H1 was created by donconcha
I recently change the rings of the pistons and the oil seals of the valves. It's a 80's Kz750 H1 .

The engine makes a weird sound when it runs. It's like a Sucking sound.

The carb float puts to much gasoline in the 4th cylinder. the sound comes from the 3rd cylinder

I need Some advice about this. is it possible to be a timing problem?

Ignore the Carb malfuntion.

Why are you running it with no pipes? You want to warp the valves? Maybe already done.

You will never be able to diagnose a running issue without the exhaust and carbs hooked up correctly.

There is no way any carburetor will work properly under those conditions. Without a proper exhaust system and intake system, reversion impulses will blow air/fuel mixture backwards out of the carbs. When there happens to be enough mixture in the chamber for detonation, it will be a dangerously lean mixture that can cause serious damage. Please put it all back together before trying to run the engine again.

Maybe. Be sure to install new crush washers where the pipes bolt to the head. If the old ones are in decent shape, you may be able to anneal them and reuse them.

Good grief guy! You ran the engine with no exhaust and wonder why it sounds horrible? You gotta be kidding us - right?

The only other time I saw anyone try that was when I was 15 and my 16 year old buddy did that with his Honda CB-160 in his parent's basement. His mother went berserk when she heard it because she thought he was messing with her clothes washing machine (no kidding). Ed

There will be people that will give you bum advice just to see you fail. If a "biker" tells you to do something, throw it up here, we'll tell you if it's BS or not. B)
