So I should go up to a 120 main and 20 pilot jet? I also cleaned out the tank and put new gas filters in. Put some carb cleaner in the number 1 cylinder and let it sit a couple of days. It seems to run better but it still has a small hesitation and the number 1 spark plug is fouled with dry soot not wet. Do you think the carbs were not synced properly? Would that cause just one plug to be fouled?

In this heat, I dropped pilot jets one size down from 20 to 17.5 and was never satisfied with 112.5 to 115 so I moved up to 117.5 mains.

Any ideas on the cause?Lower float height again? Points adjusted? Sync carbs again? Could it be that the carbs were not synced properly? All the plugs were fuel fouled before the sync. now only one is.

Spark plug wires. You can nip 1/4" off each end to make a better connection. Also the plug caps might be shot.
